Survival Ascended (ASA) is the Unreal Engine 5 remaster: better visuals, CurseForge mods, and a heavier RAM footprint (a single map can use 12-20 GB on its own). Survival Evolved (ASE) is the original on Unreal Engine 4: lighter, with a massive Steam Workshop catalogue and years of established mods. Pick ASA for the modern game, ASE if your community already runs Workshop mods or you want more players per GB.
ARK uses a lot of memory and it grows with map size, player count, tamed dinos and structures. On Survival Ascended, plan for 16 GB+ for an active map and more once you add mods. On Survival Evolved the same server needs roughly a third of that. The RAM on your plan is guaranteed to your server, even when the host is busy.
Give us your CurseForge mod IDs (ASA) or Steam Workshop collection (ASE) and they auto-download on deploy and update with your server. No manual uploads. Heavy total-conversion mods need more RAM, so size up a tier or go Custom.
Yes. The Island, Scorched Earth, Aberration, Extinction, Ragnarok, The Center and the rest are all supported. Change the map from the panel and restart, or run several maps at once as a cluster, each map being its own server.
Yes. Run multiple maps under one cluster and players keep their character, dinos and items when they transfer between them. Each map in the cluster is its own server instance, so each map is its own plan: a 3-map cluster means 3 plans, each sized for its map.
You pay on the 1st for the month you just finished using, via Stripe, incl. VAT. Nothing upfront, and you only pay for the days the server ran. If you upgrade or downgrade mid-cycle it is automatically prorated on that month's invoice.
Not by default, you stay admin. If you want us to handle mod troubleshooting, cluster setup or migration, that is on-demand at a fixed quote you approve before we start. The plan price is the plan price.
